Geneva Hicks

ODESSA — Geneva Lois Lester Hicks, 72, of Odessa passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Barstow, Texas. She moved to Odessa in 1965 from Midland. She was a homemaker and attended the First Nazarene Church. She worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 13 years.
Mrs. Hicks married Loyd Hicks Dec. 6, 1958, in Midland. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Loyd Hicks of Odessa; son, James Hicks of Odessa; daughters, Cynthia Ellison and husband, Chuck, of Odessa, Holly Karolczak and husband, Leonard, of Richardson, Becky Lucas and husband, Robin, of Odessa; brothers, Gene Lester of Midland, Dwight Lester of Trophy Club; sister, Annette DeArmond of Gardendale; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.
