Mary Lillian McFarlin

Odessa Mary Lillian McFarlin, 75, of Odessa, was born Aug. 9,
1929, in San Miguel County, N.M., to Catalino and Anastacia
Trujillo.
She was married to Bennie Joe McFarlin in 1953 in Las Vegas,
N.M.
As a young woman, she worked as a LVN at New Mexico State
hospital and later as an operating room nurse in Lovington,
N.M., at Lee County Hospital.
Mary and Ben McFarlin moved to Odessa in 1971, where Mary
reentered college and became a dietician working in various
nursing homes in the Odessa area. She was also a member of the
First Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter,
Debra Ann McFarlin.
She is survived by her husband of 51 and a half years, Bennie
Joe McFarlin of Odessa; her daughters, Edith Jennifer Kinney
and husband David of Whitharral and Gloria McFarlin
Baumstimler and husband Danny of Odessa; her sisters, Carmen
Ortiz of Los Animos, Colo., and Lena Herrera and husband Ben
of Las Vegas, N.M.; her brothers, Michael Trujillo and wife
Lila of Aspen, Colo., Donnie Trujillo and wife Connie and
Benito Trujillo, both of Commerce City, Colo., and Seferino “T.J.”
Trujillo and wife Cora of Fountain, Colo.; five grandchildren,
Lisa Nuanez, Larry W. Robinett Jr. and wife Vicky, Champion
Baumstimler and wife Connie, Madison Baumstimler and Ben
Baumstimler; and six great-grandchildren, Claire, Thomas,
David, Heather, Mikayla and Champion.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at
Odessa First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Terry G.
Pierce officiating.
She will be loved forever and missed by all who knew her. |
