Thurman Wagnon

ODESSA _ Thurman M. Wagnon, 74, a truck driver, died Friday, May 16, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at The First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Terry Pierce and Terry Roediger officiating. Burial will be at 5 p.m. in Loraine. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Oilton, Okla., and was a resident of Odessa. He was a member of the Nazarene Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Juanita Wagnon of Odessa; son, Thurman Wagnon, Jr., of Odessa; daughters, Sheila Kinsey of Mansfield and Sharon Daughtery of Byron, Okla.; brothers, Carl Medford Wagnon of Farmington, N.M., and Arnold Wagnon of Bremerton, Wash.; sister, Vera Thomas of Bloomfield, N.M.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Reba Dee Wagnon

ODESSA — Reba Dee Wagnon, 85, of Odessa died Sept. 15, 1999, at Avalon Place Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 23, 1913, in May, Texas, to Albert and Molly Lancaster.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Terry Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Wagnon married William Loyce Wagnon on Nov. 22, 1930, in Marietta, Okla. They moved to Odessa in 1950 from May. She worked for several stores in Odessa as a clerk and worked for the church for several years. She loved to entertain her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She liked to do needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Wagnon is survived by her husband, William L. Wagnon of Odessa; daughter and husband, Joan and Coy Coe of McCamey; sons and wives, Billy and Lynell Wagnon of Odessa and Eddy and Gloria Wagnon of Sunnyvale, Calif.; grandchildren and spouses, Rick and Sandy Coe, Alan and Kim Coe, Cyndi and Pat Cole, Cheri and Joel Dewbre; great-grandchildren, Seth Coe, Sara Coe, Garrett Dewbre and Rebecca Cole.

If desired, Memorial may be made to American Diabetes Association.

William L. Wagnon

ODESSA — William L. Wagnon, 91, of Odessa passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

He was born December 14, 1908, in Sidney to John and Sara Wagnon.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Terry Pierce officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Wagnon married Reba Dee Lancaster Nov. 22, 1930, in Marietta, Okla. They moved to Odessa in 1950 from May. Mr. Wagnon retired from the Texas Highway Department Dec. 14, 1973.

He loved the outdoors, working in the garden and making things grow. He attended TarIeton State University.

Mr. Wagnon was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Wagnon, Sept. 15, 1999.

He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Joan and Coy Coe of McCamey; sons and their wives, Billy and Lynell Wagnon of Odessa and Eddy and Gloria Wagnon of Sunnyvale, Calif.; grandchildren and spouses, Rick and Sandy Coe, Nan and Kim Coe, Cyndi and Pat Cole and Cheri and Joel Dewbre; great-grandchildren, Seth Coe, Sara Coe and Garrett Dewbre and Rebecca Cole; brother, Jack Wagnon of Odessa; sisters, Marie Works of Dallas and Geneva Prater of Brownwood.

If desired, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Juanita Claxton Wagnon

Odessa Juanita Claxton Wagnon age 81 of Odessa passed away at Hospice House on Friday, December 8, 2006. She was born in Snyder, TX on Thursday, November 5, 1925 to the late Andrew Jackson and Ruth Lavenia (Gray) Claxton. She married the love of her life Thurman Marion Wagnon Sr. on September 23, 1944 in Eagle Pass, TX.
She was a devout Christian woman; a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She worked in the church nursery for 45 years. She liked to cook and care for her family. Family was of utmost importance to her and she loved children. In her spare time, she liked to play dominoes and 48.
Juanita is survived by her children: Sharon Daugherty of Odessa, TX, Sheila Kinsey of Mansfield, TX and Thurman Marion “Moose” Wagnon, Jr. of Odessa, TX; three sisters: Geneva (Jean) Mathers, Dorothy Williams, and Evelyn Prescott all of Lindale, TX; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Thurman Wagnon, Sr; one brother: Claude Claxton; five sisters: Oletta (her twin), Loraine, Lucille, Ruby, and Alline; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Juanita’s name may be made to Hospice House, 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, TX 79761
Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the 1st Church of the Nazarene (2223 Lyndale in Odessa) officiated by Rev. Terry Pierce. Pallbearers will include: Ray Wagnon, Russell Wagnon, Sonny Standefer, Warren Adams, Nguyen Vong and Kent Johnson. Interment will follow at 4:00 pm at the Loraine Cemetery in Loraine, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of West Odessa.
